PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police are investigating a home invasion that led to at least two people being shot and a subsequent automobile collision.

Sgt. Trent Crump says a resident and a suspect were shot in an exchange of gunfire during what he called a “drug-related armed burglary” at a residence in north Phoenix early Tuesday morning.

Crump says the suspects fled but their vehicle then collided with another vehicle at an intersection, causing at least one serious injury.

Crump says at least two suspects fled on food but were taken into custody. The police investigation continues.
