GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - Great Falls police have arrested a man and a woman they say promoted prostitution of an underage girl.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (http://gftrib.com/1QITRF6 ) that two 18-year-olds were arrested Thursday night and made initial court appearances Friday.

The man faces additional charges of tampering with a witness, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.

Court documents say that a Great Falls detective and a Homeland Security agent received information that the man was at the Motel 6 in Great Falls with a juvenile female runaway from Washington state being used for prostitution.

Court documents did not give the girl’s exact age. They say she told police that the suspects drove her from Washington to Great Falls and talked to her about prostitution.

Bail for both people arrested was set at $50,000 each.
