MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Miss Stateline Emily Kieliszewski was crowned Miss Michigan at the pageant in Muskegon.

Kieliszewski, who said she had competed in the pageant for six years, will represent the state in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September.

The winner, who performed a tap dance for talent, told the Muskegon Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1H66oxV ) that she kept coming back to the pageant for years because she believed in its program.

The first runner-up selected on Saturday evening was Miss Pride of the Peninsulas Emily Smith; second runner-up Miss Jackson Crossroads Emily Sioma; third runner-up Miss St. Clair Shores Lauren Brown; and fourth runner-up Miss Lighthouse Coast Ariana Quann.

Kieliszewski won $12,000 in scholarship money along with the title.
