WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Hospital officials say a water rupture left an emergency room in Warwick without water for nearly two hours.

Kent County Hospital spokesman Jim Beardsworth says ambulances were diverted to other hospitals Thursday and the emergency department gave patients bottled water while the rupture was repaired.

He says the emergency department was without water from about 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Officials say there was no immediate concern or threat to patients. Running water has since been restored.
