NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) - A pilot was uninjured when his ultralight plane crashed into a tree in North Hampton.

The crash happened at 8:21 Friday night in a wooded area at the Hampton Airfield.

Officials tell WMUR-TV (http://bit.ly/1JcBX6W ) the aircraft landed in a canopy of a tree about 40 to 50 feet off the ground. The male pilot wasn’t hurt and climbed down from the aircraft using a ladder provided by firefighters.

Officials say the pilot flew from Kensington, landed at the airfield and then took off again when the engine stalled and the plane crashed into the tree. The aircraft had minor damage.

The pilot’s name has not been released.
