GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) - Up to 50 jobs are being added as part of an expansion at a south-central Kentucky truck assembler.

Gov. Steve Beshear’s office said D&B; Trucks and Equipment Sales is investing $575,000 into the project to expand its operation in Glasgow.

D&B; has been in business 14 years and currently employs 29.

The business plans to add 9,600 square feet to its operation, allowing the company to more than double its monthly production.

D&B; builds and sells truck gliders. It purchases old or wrecked semi trucks, deconstructs them to the framing and reassembles them on a new chassis and shell with rebuilt engines, transmissions and clutches. The gliders are customized with user-friendly components.

The state has approved the company for tax incentives of up to $400,000.
