NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - Newport News police say two juvenile males have been arrested in a carjacking.

Police spokeswoman Holly McPherson says a 27-year-old Newport News woman called police early Wednesday. The woman reported a male with a gun took her cell phone and car keys as she was walking to her apartment. The male fled with another juvenile in her sport utility vehicle.

McPherson says in a news release that the victim spotted the vehicle later that day and called police, who eventually arrested the driver and passenger.

Two males ages 12 and 15 have been charged with carjacking, robbery, felony use of a firearm and conspiracy to commit a felony. McPherson says they are being held in a juvenile detention facility.
