HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Two Frederick County residents have been sentenced in U.S. District Court in after pleading guilty to distributing heroin to another man who later died of an overdose.

The Winchester Star (http://bit.ly/1BO9xeb ) reports 37-year-old Dennis Keith Getz and 28-year-old Brandi Nichole Marple pleaded guilty in February to the April 2014 death of Andrew Lowder.

Getz received a prison sentence of 18-and-a-half years and Marple will serve 9-and-a-half years with the plea agreements.

In statements to authorities, both said Getz packaged the heroin and gave it to Marple, who sold it to Lowder.
