LOS ANGELES (AP) - Protesters confronted Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti outside his home amid their protest of the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old black man by police last year.

One demonstrator screamed at Garcetti as his security detail got him into a car and he was driven away Monday morning.

The small group is holding a 48-hour demonstration outside Garcetti’s home through Tuesday, when the Police Commission will receive findings by police Chief Charlie Beck and his department’s independent watchdog on the shooting of Ezell Ford.

The findings are recommendations to the commission, which will determine whether Ford’s shooting was within policy.

Ford’s mother says she doesn’t expect justice for her son, saying, “They’re covering up for their own.”

In a statement, Garcetti says he’s confident the commission will conduct an impartial review.
