NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A government watchdog group in New Orleans has hired a search firm to help it find a new president and CEO.

The Bureau of Governmental Research said Monday that it has hired the firm “LeadChange” to help it find a successor to Janet Howard.

Howard announced in April that she planned to step down as leader of the organization, although she agreed to stay until her replacement is named.

BGR studies and takes positions on various high-profile governmental issues affecting the New Orleans-area and the state.
