CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) - A 50-year-old Rhode Island man who pleaded no contest to molesting a child is going to prison.

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin said Monday that David Pope has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Twenty years were suspended with probation.

The Cranston resident also pleaded no contest to credit card fraud and was ordered to pay back $19,000.

Pope has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and receive sex offender counseling. He also has to notify communities if he wants to move and will be monitored by GPS.
