FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - A woman accused of fatally shooting her live-in boyfriend last month in Flagstaff is being held on $500,000 bond.

Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say 43-year-old Susan Joy Jacobson told them she killed 54-year-old Marvin Neal James at their home.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred between Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 and Jacobson reported it last Friday.

Authorities say they found a handgun wrapped in plastic and buried at the home Saturday.

Sheriff’s officials say Jacobson is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

They say Jacobson and Neal weren’t married but had lived together for about five years.

Authorities say the couple’s 3-year-old child was home at the time of the shooting and Jacobson has since given birth to another baby of James while in custody.
