MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. (AP) - A Mammoth Cave National Park spokeswoman says two people have died after the vehicle they were in drove off a ferry into the Green River.

Vickie Carson told the Glasgow Daily Times (http://bit.ly/1KiCoQW) that emergency officials pulled the van out of the river on Tuesday night and found two bodies inside. Authorities did not release their identities pending notification of kin.

She says the van drove onto the Green River Ferry from the south side and drove off the opposite end. The operator of the ferry immediately called police.

Dive teams from Barren and Warren counties responded. No further information was immediately available.
