POLICE SAY DOMESTIC SHOOTING IN FLORIDA HAS LEFT 4 DEAD, 1 WOUNDED, INCLUDING CHILDREN

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda says an adult male suspect was dead at the scene Friday afternoon, and authorities aren’t searching for additional suspects in the domestic-related shooting. Officials say the victims, including children, were located throughout the north Jacksonville house.

In the police interview played Friday, Derek Medina says he fired his gun during an August 2013 confrontation because 27-year-old Jennifer Alfonso threatened him with a knife and was punching him. Medina said Alfonso threatened his life.

Palm Beach State College released a statement Friday saying Nouman Raja had been released from his adjunct teaching assignment because he’s no longer a police officer. The city of Palm Beach Gardens fired Raja Wednesday.
