KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - A report shows that two female prosecutors have accused Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah of making sexually explicit remarks since taking office.

In a report made public by a records request by The Herald and News (http://is.gd/QmF0vA) Jill Goldsmith of Workplace Solutions NW of Portland writes that Skrah made inappropriate comments to members of the District Attorney’s Office on at least two occasions while discussing grand jury proceedings, the newspaper reports.

Goldsmith wrote that some of the comments may have been misconstrued banter, but others, such as repeatedly calling prosecutors “babe” or commenting on their appearance, were inappropriate.

On May 2, 2013, Skrah was speaking to a deputy district attorney about a missing police report. During the exchange, the woman said she would “beat” Skrah if he did not find the report.

According to the deputy district attorney, Skrah then replied “it’s OK if you beat me if you bring ropes and two cans on whipped cream.”

In another exchange detailed in Goldsmith’s report, Skrah is said to have told a different deputy district attorney that she “owed him” and that “payment would come in the dark without recorders or cameras on, according to the woman.

Goldsmith reported she believed Skrah may have made these comments in an attempt at humor.

In the report, there are also accounts of women reporting Skrah swatting them on the buttocks with a file or notebook and repeatedly calling her by pet names and commenting on her appearance.

Later, Goldsmith investigated statements from Skrah that sexual harassment claims were unfounded.

“Sheriff Skrah appears to believe that his denial of having made inappropriate statements means that the investigation found he did not make inappropriate statements,” said Goldsmith.

Skrah did not return requests for comment regarding details of Goldsmith’s findings.
