SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A Springfield man has pleaded guilty to 47 charges in several different cases stemming from several car thefts and armed robberies.

The Republican of Springfield reports (http://bit.ly/1MdSEi3 ) a judge on Tuesday told Ricardo Morales that he’d never seen a greater number of offenses in a single plea. He sentenced Morales to 10 years in state prison followed by three years of probation.

Prosecutors say 34 of the counts involved stealing cars or objects from cars. Other charges stemmed from two armed robberies last year.

Prosecutors say Wilson robbed a convenience store on Oct. 20, 2014 with a ski mask and a silver handgun. They say he also tried to rob a gas station.

His lawyer says Morales committed the crimes to support his drug addiction.
