COBLESKILL, N.Y. (AP) - Police say an upstate New York woman has been arrested after she allegedly stole a donation jar from an animal hospital.

New York State Police say Saturday that 19-year-old Tatiana Tosado has been arrested on a petit larceny charge.

Authorities say she stole a donation jar that contained $11.69 from an animal hospital in Cobleskill on Nov. 4.

Police say they recovered the money, which was going to be donated to a local animal shelter.

Tosado was released with an appearance ticket and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.

A phone number for Tosado could not be located and it was not immediately clear whether she had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
