RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia’s general election a full month away, but absentee voting is already under way.

Registered voters must meet one of 19 eligibility requirements to vote absentee by mail or in person. Requests for absentee ballots must be submitted to the voter’s local registration office by Oct. 27 to vote in the Nov. 3 election. In-person absentee ballots can be cast up to Oct. 31.

Voters have until 7 p.m. election day to return their completed absentee ballots.
