POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Michael White passed for one touchdown and ran for another, Marcellus Calhoun ran for two TDs, and Marist held off a second-half rally by Sacred Heart to win 34-27 on Saturday.

White completed 15 of 26 passes for 342 yards, including a 75-yard TD pass to Calhoun, and his 5-yard TD run opened the scoring for the Red Foxes (1-2). Calhoun gained 117 yards on eight carries and put Marist up 21-7 at halftime with his 1-yard plunge.

RJ Noel threw three TD passes to Tyler Dube for Sacred Heart (2-1), including an 80-yarder in the first quarter. Noel’s 55-yard TD pass to Andrew O’Neill tied it at 27 in the fourth quarter. Noel was 14 of 28 for 277 yards and an interception.

Calhoun scored on Marist’s next possession, breaking free on a 69-yard run, and the defense stopped the Pioneers’ next drive on downs.
