BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Seventy-three North Dakota businesses have now been dubbed “infant friendly” through a state Health Department program that recognizes companies for adopting policies supporting nursing mothers in the workplace.

The program has been around since 2011. The businesses and entities that have received the designation together have more than 18,000 employees.

The latest to be deemed “infant friendly” were recognized this week, which Gov. Jack Dalrymple has proclaimed North Dakota Breastfeeding Week.
