EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A jury has quickly convicted a man of a double-murder in Everett.

The Daily Herald reports (https://goo.gl/c81Emx ) that just hours after they began deliberating Tuesday, the Snohomish County Superior Court jurors found 39-year-old Tye Fleischer guilty aggravated murder as well as attempted first-degree murder for the shooting of a third person in February 2015. He faces an automatic sentence of life without parole when he’s sentenced Monday.

Prosecutors said Fleischer was despondent after relapsing on methamphetamine, and he set out to kill a drug dealer as well as a tenant at the clean-and-sober house he managed who had relapsed. They say they believe he also planned to turn the handgun on himself.

His lawyer said Fleischer shot in self-defense.

Kevin Odneal and Irene Halverson were killed. A second woman was wounded.

The house has been the scene of two other deadly shootings since 2008.
