HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Three western Maryland men are charged with assaulting and robbing another man who told authorities they used a cellphone to record the attack.

The defendants were being held Thursday at the Washington County jail with bail amounts ranging from $80,000 to $150,000.

The Herald-Mail reports (https://bit.ly/2h4fjVy ) they were arrested in downtown Hagerstown Monday, hours after the victim reported the attack in nearby Halfway.

He told Washington County sheriff’s deputies one of the robbers punched him several times in the face while another recorded the attack. Investigators say the men stole the victim’s cellphone, $29 in cash and his identification and debit cards.

The defendants are 24-year-old Dequan Dotson and 25-year-old Coco Estrada, both of Hagerstown, and 19-year-old Dyzhez Williams of Frederick.

Assistant Public Defender Alexander Hutt declined to comment.
