GREER, S.C. (AP) - BMW exported almost $10 billion worth of vehicles from its assembly plant in Greer last year, remaining the nation’s leading vehicle exporter in terms of the value of the vehicles.

Several media outlets report that BMW exported $9.8 billion worth of vehicles, topping the company’s 2014 exports of $9.2 billion. The plant has been the nation’s leading exporter for two straight years.

More than 280,000 vehicles were exported from the Greer plant last year. That’s about 70 percent of the more than 400,000 made at the facility.

The plant exports BMW’s X-model vehicles to more than 140 markets worldwide.
