LAURA, Ohio (AP) - Fire officials say three dogs and two cats are dead after a house fire in southwestern Ohio.

Fire officials tell WHIO-TV (http://bit.ly/1KGP9FB ) the house was completely involved by the time a neighbor reported that the Laura home was ablaze Wednesday night.

Officials say the home, which is located about 20 miles northwest of Dayton, was completely destroyed.

The family had been away when the fire started. Officials say they will stay with relatives.

No firefighters were injured.

Fire officials say cold temperatures hindered firefighters as large amounts of ice had been created.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The value of damages hasn’t been determined.
