BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s Parks and Recreation Department is funding 13 projects through the state’s Outdoor Community Grant Program.

The Legislature last year approved half a million dollars for the program for the two-year budget cycle. Grants are in two categories - outdoor recreation facilities and recreation leadership grants.

The program received 19 applications totaling more than $1 million. Grants were awarded for projects in Almont, Barnes County, Bathgate, Belfield, Beulah, Bismarck, Bowman, Cavalier County, Crosby, Devils Lake, Harvey, Morton County and Mooreton.
