PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix woman is accused of child endangerment for allegedly leaving two young girls unattended in an apartment complex.

Police say 26-year-old Lisa Nichole Posey was arrested Monday night after a neighbor reported seeing the 5-year-old and 15-month-old girls wandering around the complex.

The older girl reportedly told the neighbor that the woman was at home but wasn’t waking up.

Authorities were dispatched to the apartment and they say it took two minutes for Posey to be awakened.

Police say the door to the apartment was unlocked, allowing the children to wander the complex.

In the apartment, police say they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a bathtub half full of water and a fan on the floor that presented a fire hazard.

It was unclear Wednesday if Posey has a lawyer.
