SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Police say two men suspected of an armed jewelry store heist in California have been arrested by Indiana police.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://sfg.ly/1oqWWgL ) that San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies say a 25-year-old from New York and a 24-year-old from Florida were pulled over on Interstate 70 in Indianapolis Friday.

Officials say police found a gun and other evidence linking them to a Feb. 8 holdup at Goldworks, a jewelry store in Half Moon Bay. They are being extradited to San Mateo County.

Sheriff’s Detective Sal Zuno says one man posed as a customer, then pulled out a gun and filled a black bag with precious stones. Deputies say the other man then entered the store and saw and employee hitting a silent alarm.

The pair ran off on foot.
