TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Fire officials say seven people have been displaced from their New Jersey home after a fire.

Fire Battalion Chief Terrence Mulryne tells NJ.com (https://bit.ly/1TNGTFW ) that firefighters were called to the Trenton home around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say the fire began outside and spread to the rest of the three-story home.

Mulryne says heavy flames could be seen throughout the home. He says it took two hours to get the blaze under control.

The American Red Cross is assisting the seven displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. Authorities are investigating.
