OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A federal grand jury in Omaha has indicted six people on a racketeering charge and a variety of drug, attempted murder and assault counts.

Prosecutors said Friday in a news release that the indictments follow a three-year-long federal and local investigation into gang violence and witness intimidation in northeast Omaha. Prosecutors say the investigation was led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Omaha Police Department.

Prosecutors say all six people are in custody.
