DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota man who was on probation when authorities busted his mushroom-growing operation is heading to prison.

The Devils Lake Journal (http://bit.ly/299USCj ) reports that 25-year-old Devin Johnson has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Northeast Judicial District Judge Lee Christofferson sentenced Johnson, of Devils Lake, after he pleaded guilty to two drug possession felonies.

Officers searching Johnson’s home in May as part of the terms of his probation for another drug charge discovered the growing operation of psychedelic mushrooms.

The newspaper reports that officers conducting the search also found a significant amount of a synthetic version of marijuana sold under names such as K-2 and Spice.
