DURANGO, Colo. (AP) - The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office is planning a new search for evidence in the death of a 13-year-old boy who went missing in 2012 and whose remains were found months later in southwestern Colorado.

The Durango Herald reports (http://bit.ly/29h1IJN ) that searchers will head to a section of Middle Mountain Road near the Vallecito Reservoir next week in search of evidence in the disappearance of Dylan Redwine.

There have been a number of searches during the past three years as the sheriff’s office considers Redwine’s disappearance to be an ongoing investigation.

Dylan disappeared from his father’s Vallecito Lake house in November 2012 and his remains were found seven months later.

Last year, Redwine’s father was identified as a person of interest in the boy’s death but no charges have been filed.
