MOUNT TREMPER, N.Y. (AP) - Some upgrades are planned at a popular state campground in the Catskills.

The Department of Environmental Conservation has released an updated management plan for the Kenneth Wilson Campground in Mount Tremper, a two-hour drive north of New York City.

An open house is scheduled at the campground on July 14 to discuss details of the plan.

The campground is surrounded by mountain vistas and includes a 7-acre lake for fishing and boating. The Little Beaverkill, a tributary of the Esopus Creek, flows along the day-use area.

Plans for the site include a new picnic pavilion, a handicapped-accessible fishing pier and viewing walkway and an accessible kayak and canoe launch. Trails, a swimming beach, and new bathrooms are also planned.
