KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - One person is dead and another is injured after a crash near Kalispell.

The Daily Inter Lake reports (http://bit.ly/29jKd9W) a sports utility vehicle caught fire Sunday afternoon as people in the area helped the driver and passenger get free.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Josh Nanna said the vehicle rolled off U.S. 93, trapping the two people inside.

One person died at the hospital.

Nanna said the survivor was not severely injured.

Authorities are investigating what caused the crash.

Nanna said he didn’t think alcohol was a factor.

The person who died has not been identified.
