ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A man wanted in an Anderson County shooting death last month has been arrested in Tennessee.

Anderson Sheriff’s Lt. Sheila Cole says 33-year-old Stephen Grant Parten was driving a truck stolen from Williamston when he was stopped by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on Interstate 30 near Knoxville late Wednesday afternoon.

Parten is charged with murder in the death of 25-year-old Ahmed Fallous.

Fallous’ body was found May 26 near Anderson. Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman says fisherman near a bridge heard an argument and gunfire early that morning and found Fallous’ body.

Parten is also charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He is awaiting extradition from Tennessee to South Carolina to face the charges. It was not clear if he has an attorney yet.
