PHOENIX (AP) - The number of people killed in vehicle crashes in Arizona rose 15 percent in 2015 over the previous year.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says 895 were killed in vehicle crashes in 2015.

That’s up from 774 in 2014.

The highest number of people killed in vehicle crashes in Arizona came in 2006, when there were 1,301 such deaths.
