CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island man accused of possessing semi-automatic rifles and other weapons has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Authorities say the weapons were seized during a raid of Edward Perkowski’s Mount Sinai home earlier this month.

Newsday (http://nwsdy.li/292gZKX ) says he pleaded not guilty to a grand jury indictment Tuesday in Suffolk County Court.

He faces six felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and other charges.

Authorities executed a search warrant on June 17 at Perkowski’s home, where they say they seized an arsenal of weapons, ammunition, drugs, cash and instructions on how to make a bomb, as well as neo-Nazi paraphernalia.

Perkowski’s attorney says his client thinks he was targeted by neighbors. He has said that anything illegal found in the house didn’t belong to Perkowski.
