ROGERSON, Idaho (AP) - The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office says its working to identify the remains of a human skeleton found in south-central Idaho

The Times-News (http://bit.ly/1YeXHbd ) reports that a hiker found the skeleton on Monday in in a remote region of the South Hills recreation area south of Twin Falls. The bones were found by a nearby creek and multiple pine trees.

Lt. Perry Barnhill says the hiker was able to find the bones because he was in the right place at the right time.

Meanwhile, Twin Falls County Coroner Gene Turley says the bones are surprisingly still intact and had not yet been scattered by animals, but authorities have not yet been able to identify the body.

Turley added that the body’s unique dentistry will help in the identification process.
