DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) - Officials in one Ohio community are urging residents to shelter in place due to a possible active shooter.

The Deerfield Township Fire Rescue sent out a tweet around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, warning of an active shooter behind a Kroger supermarket in the township, about 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati.

Officials are advising people to stay inside and not open their doors to strangers.

It’s unclear if anyone was shot. No other information was immediately available.
