MINOT, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of a Minot man serving a 10-year prison sentence for raping a teenager he befriended on Facebook.

Authorities said Corey Costa met the 14-year-old girl online in 2012, and later drugged and raped her at his apartment.

A jury in April 2015 convicted the then-24-year-old Costa on a felony gross sexual imposition charge. He appealed, arguing that prosecutors misstated evidence during the trial and violated his due process rights. Supreme Court justices rejected the claim.
