CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - More than 50 employees are out of a job after they were laid off by Casper equipment manufacturer Power Service Inc.

Human resources administrator Ann Ginder says the layoffs in Casper are focusing on the fabrication division. The company produces equipment for engineering, design, installation and fabrication of materials.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://tinyurl.com/jtd58kf ) the company employed about 500 people.

The company also has offices in Denver, Billings, and in other states.

According to federal figures, Wyoming had one of the nation’s largest unemployment rate increases in the past year.
