A look at what’s happening all around spring training in Florida and Arizona today:

___

AILING

The Boston Red Sox will see whether third baseman Pablo Sandoval can play against Pittsburgh. He sat out Thursday because of lower back stiffness and is considered day to day. He was hurt Tuesday diving for a ball.

IN THE SWING

Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton has homered two straight days going into a night game vs. Washington. A day after hitting his first home run of the spring, he launched a monster shot Thursday that bounced off the roof and over the clubhouse in left field.

BACK TO WORK

Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki plans to hit in the batting cage while his right hand heals. Hit by a pitch Wednesday, he didn’t play Thursday. He said he thought he could return to the lineup before the end of the week.

AUDITIONING ASTRO

Dan Straily will start for Houston against Atlanta instead of Collin McHugh. Astros manager A.J. Hinch said he wanted to see Straily, who is out of options, pitch once more.

TRICKY

Matt Davidson will be ready the next time he sees Angels lefty Tyler Skaggs. Out of the majors since having Tommy John surgery in 2014, Skaggs made his Cactus League debut Thursday vs. the White Sox and faced Davidson, a friend from their days in the Arizona organization. Skaggs threw three fastballs past Davidson - after texting him that his curveball was “feeling good” and his changeup was fine.
