SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Forecasters say a sunny, clear holiday weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area is expected to round out what’s been a rainy March.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1LMskBm ) Friday that the National Weather Service says temperatures on Friday and Saturday should be in the upper 60s in San Francisco and the lower 70s elsewhere in the North Bay and East Bay.

Bob Benjamin, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, says Easter Sunday should mark the first day of a cooling off period with temperatures dipping a few degrees and a few clouds moving into the area, the newspaper reported.

The next chance of rain is expected Wednesday when scattered showers are predicted to move into the region.

The recent turn to dry weather comes after March say nearly double the normal amount of rainfall for this point in the month.
