NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A south Louisiana prison inmate - a former model who once appeared in an Aerosmith video - was charged Monday with trying to hire another inmate to kill three New Orleans public officials and a crime victim.

Dean Kelly was charged with four counts of solicitation to commit murder, Washington Parish District Attorney Warren Montgomery said in a statement.

Montgomery said Kelly’s would-be victims included New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro, City Councilman Jason Williams and state Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier, who sent Kelly to prison. Montgomery said Williams had once been Kelly’s attorney.

Kelly was in Louisiana’s Rayburn Correctional Center in Washington Parish when the alleged solicitation occurred. He was serving a sentence for sexual battery and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Montgomery said a victim of Kelly also was targeted in the alleged murder solicitation.

Kelly had pleaded guilty in the sexual battery case and carnal knowledge case in 2013. He was granted probation.

But he violated several conditions of that probation by soliciting women on Facebook and failing to register some of his phones with the sexual offender registry, authorities said. Flemings-Davillier sent him to prison in 2014 to complete a 10-year sentence.

Montgomery said the foiled murder-for-hire plot was discovered in last October. Montgomery alleges Kelly offered a fellow inmate $35,000, two cars and a motorcycle to carry out the killings.

An attorney who was representing Kelly as late as last year did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

Kelly appeared briefly in the 1994 video for the song “Crazy” by Aerosmith.
