BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - An Indianapolis real estate developer and his wife have donated $15 million and a collection of prints, etchings and drawings by masters such as Salvador Dali to the Indiana University Art Museum.

IU says the gift by Sidney and Lois Eskenazi is the largest cash donation in the Bloomington museum’s history. The museum has been renamed the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art to honor the couple’s generosity.

The $15 million will help finance a renovation of the 34-year-old building.

The Eskenazis are also donating nearly 100 prints, etchings and drawings by American and European artists, including Dali, Pablo Picasso and Spanish surrealist master Joan Miro.

The couple says they’re delighted the collection they’ve loved building and living with will find a home at the museum.
