NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities are investigating what caused a fire to break out on a school bus that was carrying three students in wheelchairs in Brooklyn.

No one was injured in the incident at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

WNBC-TV reports that fire officials say the bus was parked in front of P.S. 396 in the Brownsville section when it caught fire.

School officials removed the students to safety.

The fire was put out quickly and did not appear to be suspicious in nature.

Earlier in the day another school bus that transports people in wheelchairs caught fire in East Harlem. Nine people on board were hurt. That incident also is under investigation.
