HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania judge has sentenced a repeat sex offender to serve a life term under the state’s three strikes law, calling him depraved and a danger to others - particularly children.

Dauphin County Judge John Cherry sentenced Paul Miller to a life sentence on Thursday after Miller pleaded guilty to having child pornography.

More than 20 other charges were dropped against Miller in exchange for the guilty plea.

The 53-year-old West Hanover Township man has a history of sex offenses dating to the early 1980s.

Miller was arrested last fall after detectives were alerted he was downloading child porn.

Defense attorney Brian Platt says Miller didn’t physical contact children in the latest case.

Miller didn’t say anything when allowed to speak prior to his sentencing.
