SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A 40-year-old central New York man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges stemming from his producing and distributing images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused.

The U.S. attorney’s office says Jason Kopp of Liverpool pleaded guilty Friday in federal court in Syracuse to all 22 counts in an indictment charging him with exploitation of three children and possession and distribution of child pornography.

Prosecutors say their investigation began in March when a child exploitation task force member in Washington, D.C., began texting with Kopp. Authorities say Kopp told the undercover officer he had pictures of an infant girl sent to him by a female acquaintance.

FBI agents and state police arrested Kopp on March 18.

Kopp faces more than 500 years in prison when he’s sentenced Sept. 14.
