JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Jonesboro city planners will review details this week of a planned hotel and convention center in the city.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission is set to review the plans Tuesday for the Northeast Arkansas Convention Center. It’s one of two convention centers currently in the works in Jonesboro, with another planned on the campus of Arkansas State University.

The 40-000-square-foot Northeast Arkansas Convention Center will also include a 147-room Hyatt Place. The Jonesboro Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1Tu7c0G ) that the project is estimated to cost $27 million.
