ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Anderson County sheriff’s deputies have obtained murder warrants against a suspect in the shooting death of a man and an attack on a woman.

Lt. Sheila Cole said in a statement that deputies are looking for 33-year-old Stephen Grant Parten of Anderson.

Cole says Parten is charged with murder in the Thursday morning shooting death of 25-year-old Ahmed Issam Fallous of Anderson. Parten is also charged with attempted murder in attack of Fallous’ girlfriend, who was hit in the head with a gun.

She’s been treated and released from an Anderson hospital.

Deputies were called around 2:20 a.m. Thursday and found Fallous, who died shortly after emergency medical workers arrived at the scene.

Cole says the shooting and attack appears to have been the result of a domestic dispute.
