BRUNSVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in northwest Iowa are investigating the dumping of more than 100 tires along rural roads.

The Sioux City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1XBXpKR ) the Plymouth County sheriff’s office is trying to find who dumped about 30 used tires in a ditch north of Brunsville on Tuesday.

The county roads department later found about 75 more tires dumped at other sites.

Plymouth County Engineer Tom Rohe says it’s common to find a tire or two left somewhere but not so many tires dumped together.
